The Tale of Corbin

I'm still trying to decide on a name, but I may settle on "the Tale of Corbin" or "Corbin's Tale". Or just Corbin. Yeah.

So I've established my protagonist like so:

1. As an infant, he was the last "victim" of the Victorian Vampire Vixen Lucy Westenra (from Dracula). He was rescued at the last moment by the vampire hunters led by Doctor Van Helsing.

2. He is a scientist and scholar. Thus, he is a skeptic.

3. He is fascinated with the occult and supernatural phenomena. He believes that these things are real, but that they are in fact as much a part of this world as anything else mundane.

4. He is on a quest to locate these supernatural things, study them first hand and then catalog his findings.

5. Sort of ironically, one of the main antagonists will be a zealous monster hunter who seeks only to destroy these things.

6. His experience as an infant left him with a marking of some sort. Like a little bit of Lucy was left with him forever. Perhaps this grants him a greater awareness for things supernatural.

7. There will be a good dose of the Cthulhu Mythos. Corbin's umbrella / sword cane has an Elder Sign of Protection on the pommel.

8. His bowler hat bears a charm that represents the All Seeing Eye.

9. The story will take place in the late Edwardian Era (1920s).

Oh boy this is exciting.
