The Tale of Corbin - more ideas

In order to establish my fondness for pulp style tough guys, I've decided to include an ally and foil to Corbin.

He'll be a tough ex-boxer. Possibly Irish and from Boston, to follow a stereotype of young Irish men being convinced by priests to join boxing groups to keep them away from a life of crime and trouble.

Visual reference: Ray Stevenson. You have probably seen him as Titus Pullo in HBO's amazing Rome series. He was also the BEST Punisher ever put on screen. Other than that, because he's rough looking and he's not American, he's used as a villain in Hollywood films.

Here he is:

So my sister and my friend Pat gave me some ideas. Perhaps Corbin and this guy (whom I shall name Ray for now) met during WWI. Corbin, being a medic or something, probably saved his life at one point and then they became fast friends, despite their clashing viewpoints on the nature of God. You know, 'cause Ray is a devout Catholic and Corbin is a skeptic.

Nice little set up, I think. Fast friends who can still have ideological conflicts.

Have a great Sunday!
