...this season isn't all that it usually promises. For the first time in my life, I will be so relieved once October is over and done with.
For those not in the "know", Halloween is bigger than Christmas for me. It doesn't always fit up to my expectations, but I love the weather, decorations, food and general atmosphere. My birthday is a few days before. I get to dress up like a freak and it is socially acceptible. I get to decorate my house and my cubicle at work with skulls, shrunken heads and shrieking goblins.
I don't even have a costume this year.
The biggest culprit is the fact that I am losing two relatives, my Uncle John and my Grandpa Neil, within the same two weeks. That is sad on it's own, but there's a massive pile of drama involved with the family. I just can't deal with this right now.
It's plain awful.
Also, I have to work on Halloween. This is the final big rush to get things done at work for the new corporate website.
So yeah. Bleh. Once November comes, I will be able to move on and get back to my creative projects... hopefully...
