Ceremony by New Order (originally by Joy Division)

For some reason this song makes me calm and content. Please enjoy:

Classical Thursday (er Friday!)

Here we have a piece by my 2nd favorite Baroque composer (1st one is J.S. Bach, DUH).

Amazing stuff!

Yo-Yo Ma and Jonathan Manson: Vivaldi's Double Cello Concerto in G Minor...

BONUS! Even BETTER:

Mermaid pt. 2

Here I started to play with a color scheme. Yes, there are problems: I did this very quickly. I'm working on it.

Also, her head will be smaller.

Meeting Minutes

Mermaids are fun to draw because the artist can skip half of all that darned complicated anatomy! HAW HAW

Classical Thursday

This time we have a double feature!

I chose two very popular and easy to listen pieces. Later on, once people are used to this, I’ll bring in the more obscure stuff!

Here is a piece from Puccini from his opera Manon Lescaut. It is the intermission (Intermezzo).

Very dramatic piece. The context is a very sad and intense tragic romance from French Literature. Check it out.

Here is another Intermezzo from Cavaliera Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni. Many of you may have heard this before (in a stupid commercial). Once again, a real nice piece. Very famous.

Also: my second draft of the Tree from earlier:

A tree

I did this while watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I do not know why, exactly. I don't even know why I'm showing this. To prove that I can be diverse? To be ironic in the sense that drawing a tree is a blatant cliché of an artist trying to appear "deep" and down to earth?

Maybe it is because in my story there is a petrified forest. Sure, a REAL petrified tree is not much more than a stump. But hell with it.

I hope that you like my tree. I will be colorizing it shortly.

Huzzah! The day is nearly done!

Rejoice friends! For Joel is off to Montreal tomorrow at dawn!

What on earth will happen?!

Stay tuned!

Mozart Violin Concerto in D KV 211 - Andante

Wolfgang was a pretty cool dude. A dirty guy, but an enlightened one!

Pin Up :: Pele

This is a rough color sketch of a character from some fiction that I'm creating with my friends.

Yes, she's only in her swimsuit. Sorry folks...

Classical Thursday

Something a little melancholy this time. A lovely piece from a French composer of the Baroque era.

Jean Philippe Rameau "Tristes Apprets Pales Flambeaux"

From the Opera "Castor & Pollux"

Lyrics:
